The club had an outing to a local wrecking yard on Saturday, November 24. What a great place! Cars in all stages of decomposition covering over 40 acres of property. Texture. Colour. Shape. A photographer’s playground to be sure. There’s also a creek with a lovely little rapids running through the property. Snow on the ground, a hazy sky overhead so no bright glare off the snow. Nearly perfect conditions. And… just as we were leaving and heading back down the road it started to rain, so the timing couldn’t have been better.
Below are a few photos members took on the day.

The member photo share theme for the November meeting was Fall Colours/Abstract. Below is a small collection of the pictures members shared. Please take a moment to see the creative ways our members interpreted the theme.
The opening reception for the club’s 2018 Group Exhibit, themed Black & White, was hosted by A Gift of Art in Newcastle on Sunday, November 4. The members displayed beautiful black and white prints and the reception was well attended by the public. The exhibit is on until November 24, so go by the gallery and take a walk through.
