December's meeting allowed us to share photos from our Theme of the month which was "Something Red" as well our photos from our two outings (Tinkl's Gallery and Royal Canadian Falconry). We also had an opportunity to hear about Michelle Guillerman's amazing photography journey and experience with wildlife.
We're excited to have Michelle join us on Monday, Dec 14th. She is a Conservation Photographer who has spent a lot of time in Kenya, more specifically the Amboseli ecosystem and its elephant population. She works with local conservation organizations to connect people to the animals and ecosystems they protect. She also works with an international NGO regarding women in conflict and post conflict situations in Africa and the Middle East.
Her objective in photography: Capturing the "decisive moment" in wildlife photography.
We had the opportunity to get up close with some Birds of Prey! It was amazing to see them in person and to witness their flying skills. They were truly majestic. We are so thankful to the Royal Canadian Falconry for providing us with this opportunity to capture their beautiful birds on camera!
