From lawyer to photographer, Kyle James will be sharing his journey on Monday, March 22, 2021.
He is a full-time photographer and filmmaker with a particular love of landscape & night photography and creative filmmaking.
Having left Scotland in 2016 with a snowboard bag, a camera and a head full of dreams he quickly found himself falling in love with travelling, living in the mountains and capturing the beautiful sights through stills and video. After 4 years of travelling the world Kyle decided to stay in BC, Canada to take his passion from hobby to business. It took Kyle less than 3 months to reach his goal of 'full-time profession' thanks to his focus and consistent dedication to providing above expectation.
Kyle James specializes (a loose term as he loves every aspect of photography and filmmaking) in commercial, landscape, night and lifestyle photography and videography. In his spare time Kyle produces short films to satiate his creative itch.
When he's not holding a camera you can find Kyle making the most of living on the mountain by shredding hard (snowboarding) or exploring new, exciting lines out of bounds.
Our upcoming speaker is a talented, self-taught photographer, Mark Tingle. He has been photographing since he was young, back when Dark rooms were used to process film. Switching over to digital in 2010, new methods and tutorials opened a world of photography to him. As a result, and with practice, he's been able to master his photography skills in macro, long exposure, and water droplets.

The provincial COVID lockdown may have curtailed our outings but not our creativity! In light of the stay-at-home order, we decided to have two themes for our Photo share. Theme 1 is about deliberate movement with your camera while Theme 2 is about refraction. People's interpretation and creativity has really made this an interesting photo share to view!
